cup holder led light

ok yall i finished my cup holder led light mod today, i will post pics asap and some night pics to!! i am soo pleased with the way it turned out. i used a orange 4led accent light from superbrightleds.com and taped into the light wire for the gear shift light so it comes on and off with the vehicle lights. it is mounted in the bump that is on the 09 tacomas

ok here are the pics and i will add some step by step

first remove your center console, its easy if you dont know how im sure u will be able to find a thread for it.

second with the entire console removed pop out the blank switch space, mines in the center, it comes out with a flat head screw driver.

third run the wire through the hole and down to the shifter

now remove the face plate of the shift bezel and you will see a led light that is orange, twist the bottom of it and it will come come out

one side is a pos and one is neg

strip them down and and connect you wires for the led light as shown bellow.



with this accomplished the led light will now turn on only with the parking lights and and head lights

if you are like me and dont want to screw anything down just double sided tape it in..... lol. here are some pics of it finished.
