So I brought my truck in for the 2nd oil change/tire rotation under Toyota Care. While I think the 5,000 mile oil change interval is a little longer than I would like to go I think it is probably OK. I took it to my local Toyota dealer in Bloomington, IN.

One other thing I wanted them to look at was the seal on my windshield. It had worked itself loose in under 9,000 miles on the bottom passenger side corner. There was no leakage into the interior but this was certain to become a problem. They did the oil change/tire rotation and said they would look at the windshield. I went for a run and checked in about an hour later. They said it was done but they were trying to figure out the window.

They got back with me in about 10 minutes and told me that we had two options. They would have to bring window techs from Indianapolis. I could either schedule an appointment for another day or they would bring them down this afternoon and possibly replace the whole windshield. They also offered me a loaner car. In about another 5 minutes there was a nice (though boring) Venza sitting out front for me. They said if it took longer than this evening they would call and I could keep the car overnight. Also, it had half a tank of gas in it and they told me if I drove it more than that that just to put enough back in to get to the dealership.

Needless to say, I was disappointed about the windshield but couldn't be happier with the service I received. I have heard other people complain about this dealership but I was extremely happy today.

P.S. the Venza drives nice but I can't wait to get my Tacoma back later today or tomorrow!

Yeah, I think that's all you can ask for, IMO. At least they're actively trying to fix the windshield rather than just saying "it's fine" or even worse messing up even more by doing the wrong thing with it.

Interesting about your windshield. I had the same exact thing happen to mine but it was also coming loose on driver side as well. Dealership brought in a window company and replaced the entire windshield. I wonder how many other 2012's have had this issue.
