Hey all, anybody have experience with Mopar 5.2L. My nephew wants me to stop at a lot and look at a 2000 Ram 1500 with 88k.
Looks like a solid deal but was curious about opinions on this power plant.
I know back in the day the 318 seemed like a good mill with good rep, but I'm pretty much a Dodge hater and it seems often times the weak link is the tranny. Anyway, y'alls thoughts are certainly appreciated.

The 318 is a decent motor. The biggest problems are the automatic transmissions. They are junk.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Not sure about the engine but +1 on the transmission.
