water depth

does anyone know from either experience or general knowledge how deep we can go w/out a snorkel? are there other components that would have trouble before the intake?

also, i cut my wheel well cover when i was rocking the no front bumper. there is like a gap about the size of my palm that is open going into the fender, looks like reverse can sling some serious water in the fender area. could this cause a problem w/ water in the intake?

 

without a snorkel and that hole u got now, i would stay away frome much anything over a foot...18in tops but u have to go real slow through it so it doesnt splash up to bad...bottom line if you like water get a snorkel and re-route your breathers or get ready to start replacing expensive stuff

 

btw...with greased electronic connections,breathers re-routed,sealed up snorkel and careful controlled throttle ive forded 3.5ft of water with no issues

 

I've been in water up to the bottom of my headlights with no problems. But I have extended the breathers on my axles so no water can get through

 

i think you will be safe up to 24 inch as long as you extend the breathers on the axles
