hope my post doesn't seem foolish, i did search the forums and only found stuff about cb antennas and the actual antennas themselves. I'm of course aware i could go to any dealership, or autopartswarehouse, et.. i was just wondering if anyone had gotten one of these and found the best deal and wanted to share!

I havent heard of this issue with anyone else yet so it might be hard to get an answer from anyone. Might just try the dealership anyways and get a price to see what you are up against.

Roger. story goes my 6" antenna broke off at the stub when trying to unscrew it. It was rusted up good between the threads. Tried to use a back out screw to remove it but that didn't go well and the threads are pretty thrashed. Figure i either get new mount or drill out the hole enough and attache a replacement antenna somehow (jb weld, glue, something...) but i cant think of any way to salvage it so that the antenna is removable. If anyone has any suggestions i'm all ears.

I'm trying to remember where I got mine when it was ripped off by a car wash a couple years back, which is the reason I don't use stubbie antennas anymore. Let me see what I can find.

A little detective work on my old posts and I found it: toyodiy.com
