    Hey guys--

I've traded in my Taco. With a kid on the way, it was time to go with something a little more economical. I'm sad to see her go. With 112k miles, a 3.5" OME lift, ARB front bumper, and 35" Cooper Discoverer STT's, I'll miss the off-road adventures and overall good times. I was given 18k trade-in, not bad, above KBB.

Now, let me introduce you to the new wheels. A 2008 Acura TL-S, fully loaded, low miles and most importantly, leather to make it easy to clean up the mess my future has in store for me. It's odd getting 30mpg at 80mph on the freeway, when I'm used to 14mpg.

Now I'll need to pick up a 1st gen and build it up to be a crawler as my weekend-fun truck. I'll be on hiatus for a bit from here. Have fun everyone, this is a great community, and I'll be back.

Believe me it is alot easier to stick a kid in a DC Tacoma than the backseat of a TL. The gas mileage is really the only benefit.

thats strange, I just bought my tacoma because i had a kid, i couldn't be happier with the way a carseat works in the double cab. we ride around with wifey in the back and the passenger seat folded flat and it's very comfortable (gotta love the sr5 seats for this reason over the TRD's)

As for spills, i did wet okole's

i'm getting 20mpg but i have the stock dungflops and no lift

It's really about the gas. I'll be driving 40+ miles per day once he's born. I'd love to keep the truck, but the mileage would break the bank. Then factor in repairs on the truck, needed a bit of work due to the lift and off-road adventures, and without about 4 grand in repairs, it wouldn't be safe.
