I have a 2012 tacoma sport double cab and am looking for best window visors. I want the ones that stick to the side of window frame (not in channel) Had the in channels on a old explorer and they scratch the shit out of my windows.

Also am going to want to paint them to match truck. Any ideas

    considering these

Vent visor and AVS are both good products. Also, i believe weathertech makes them as well. But if it was me, id just find the cheapest, because they are all pretty much the same.

Never had in channels scratch any of mine personally. However I have had stick ones come off. Twice. Think the stick on ones I had were AVS.

I have had AVS on my past 2 trucks for almost 14 years. The only time I ever had an issue was in VT when it was -9*. My buddy put his hand on it and it cracked. I wrote them a letter and got a new one in the mail a couple weeks later.

well just installed the avs vent visors for the '12 double cab. these are stick on and the gap between the door frame and the visor is about 2in. it didnt seem that much until you put them on. my '10 subaru oem visors are way closer, probably less than 1in.

the weathertech's are in-channel but close fitting if i remember.

No money, all went to truck...
I went with the newer auto ventshades. They are nice because they got rid of the ugly inverted lip at the edge of the visors. They edges have a nice rolled edge, way nicer. Amazon had a good price. 40 or 50 bucks for all 4.
