I just picked up a Ruger American rifle in 30-06 and was wondering if anyone had one of these and what type of ammo they "like"? Going to put a Leupold V-X1 on it. Just wondering so I don't go out and buy a bunch of ammo that won't group well.

hell i shoot plain old remmington umc 30-06 through my old remmington 721 and it does ok for me out to 500 yards.

my first trip out wasnt the case but thats cause i didnt bother to zero it in.

that plus i suck and im a noob
