I am installing a full ome lift with dakar springs in the rear and bought xd spy wheels(17x9 -12 offset) and want to put a tire big enough to fill the wheel well but not ha e to do dramatic cutting and chopping. If anyone with this setup could give a little advice on what to look for. I know some tires of the same size actually fit differently. Aggressive all-terrain. Is what i have in mind. Nitto trail, cooper st max, etc. Thanks

265/70/17 will give you the least amount of cutting/chopping. however, i think a 285/70/17 fills up the fenders better on the 2nd gen. with this size, you should do the cmc mod especially if you plan to off-road the truck.

Thanks alot. I am new to doing all this and want to do it right the first time. I have seen some on here running the same wheels that I want but don't know how much cutting will have to be done with different tires.
    Thanks for the reply!

There's really nothing major that you'll need to do. It's basically taking off any mud flaps that you have, cut the plastic liner wherever it rubs, and do the cmc mod(cut, weld, paint). TW vendor, BAMF, sells precut plates for a great price.

Here are some pics for reference on the cmc mod.
