For a while I wanted to lift my truck, I've been poking through the threads here and have decided that I would rather keep my stock ride hieght, but do want a boost in performance. I was looking at The ICON and Fox shocks for the front and rear, but then read that ICONs are meant for high speed off road use....Can't seem to find if Fox is the same...so, my question is this,

What suspension brand should I go with if I'm replacing my stock shocks, don't want a lift, do 90% road driving but do do some light off roading a few times a year?

any help would be greatly appreciated...

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Nothing wrong with Bilstein 5100's IMO. You can even level the front for a leveled look. I haven't tried Fox or ICON shocks themselves but I am sure they are valved for more of a offroad or dampened for more extreme terrain. It may not be what you want.

Off the top of my head, Bilstein 5100s will allow you to keep the stock ride height (or if you change your mind, raise the front up to 2.5") and provide a mild upgrade in performance for the type of driving you mentioned. Lots of people run them on here.

You could probably find a non-adjustable for cheaper as well if you wanted.

Cool...I have a leer 180 on order, and I don't want the rear to sag to the point it's lower than the front. If anything, i may adjust the front up an inch but I'm not really interested in changing geometry and dealing with the possible headaches that come along with it....

Fox? Why would you want bicycle shocks on your truck? ;)
