Exhaust build

I am going to be doing an exhaust on my 2005 Tacoma v6. I am going to go with the DT short headers. I am going to do a side exit before the back tore on my truck. I was looking at all the y pipes and the exhaust kits and they are just to much money to start chopping away at. So my thoughts were to go to a exhaust shop have them install my headers and then have them pipe out a y pipe and the rest of the pipe to get me to the side before my tire. I was thinking of using a Borla S type muffler. I have been trying to find any kind of info that another Tacoma has used the borla and I can't find anything. Can anybody help?
