if i wasn't selling my bumper i might go for this what are the specs on it? how thick is the steel does it have a hitch built in how does it mount up to the frame etc...

iirc a lot of people where turned off by the bolt on shackles as well and i can't say i blame them it looks prone to failure imo. although i have had no experience with body armor products it just looks odd.

seems like a good price on a plate steel bumper though glws i'm sure someone will pick it up

The shackle points are the brackets that bolt the entire bumper to the trucks frame..... So when u pull from the shackles , you are pulling directly off the frame of truck.... It don't get any stronger than that. The frame/shackle brackets are extremely thick and heavy ....

Unsure the thickness of steel plate .... I will get all the specs and close up pics this weekend

I have the same bumper and the shackle mounts are fine being bolt in. Sure it would be nice to have welded in shackle mounts, however that's the benefit of this bumper, the price point is less than half of the fabricated models, which is why I have one as well. It's a good solution if you're going off road on a budget.

The other added benefit to this bumper is that there is a bolt on swing away tire carrier that bolts in place of the shackle mounts, it can be ordered online from anyone that carries body armor stuff for about 250.
