I need a fog light kit for my 2012 Tacoma prerunner dbl cab 4cyl. I ordered several times and something was always wrong with kit. From whom can i order the correct kit? I already ordered from Amazon twice and K2 Motors. I am not wanting to spend more than $150 dollars.

Does the 2012 Tacoma have a different sized fog light than the previous models?

Please, no guessing or assumptions, only facts !!

Do a search on eBay for '11 12 Sienna JDM Fog Lamps'. I bought these upon returning the Camry ones. The Sienna Fogs went onto my Taco without any modification of tabs.

Thanks for feedback for the substitute fog light for my Tacoma. Did the Sienna 11', 12' dash on/off switch fit into the knock-out openings on dash with no modification?

Also, did you Tacoma come prewired for fogs?

I have not wired them up yet. So far I only installed the lamps into the bumper tabs. No, my Regular cab is not pre-wired so I'm taking my dear time. As for the switch, the kit comes with a switch that will mount in the centre part of the lower dash where the AUX jack is. However, while I've read that some people on this Forum has successfully utilized that switch and space, I've also read that there is only limited space in behind that area and that the switch would not sit flush as the back of it will intrude on something inside the dash. I measured my switch and it looks like I will require 2.25" of clearance behind the hole in order for the switch to sit flush on the dash.

If I need to buy a switch, I will go for a 'switch kit' from Vandergriff Toyota @ $77. It consists of PT297-35070-AS & PT297-35070-SH which is the factory fog light switch from a FJ and the dogtail harness. Apparently, I will not be able to find a dogtail to go with the stock Tacoma fog light switch.

    Is your truck pre-wired?

you can buy the 2012 switch at the dealer (2012 switch is back lit green), then you can buy the fog light harness and a pigtail on ebay. use the proper factory location on the upper left side of the dash, its very easy to get to. the switch schematics are on TW.

his truck might be pre-wired cause its a dbl cab
his truck might not be pre-wired cause its a 4cyl

Thanks all so far on your input. I ordered a 2011/12 Sienna fog light set form Ebay. It was the: 11 12 TOYOTA SIENNA LE JDM BUMPER CHROME FOG LIGHT LAMP+6000K HID+SWITCH+HARNESS

When I get the set, I will left you guys know my results. I will give you the details of how things fit like the fog lights them self, the wiring and the switch in the dash. I was tempted to get the 8000k lamps but I didn't know the affect of the brightness to on coming vehicles.

that switch will not fit the stock fog location.

regarding room and access to the stock location...
there is ample room behind the switch. access to the switch is best had by removing the instrument cluster. it can be done from under, but you'll have to pull lower panel as well, and it'll be tight. as shown in this photo of my truck, there is a plastic horizontal piece (under the vent) that protrudes under the stock fog switch location blocking easy access from below.

if you want to the switch to drop in, like from the factory, then buy the 2012 fog switch... part # 84160-04020 and the fog pigtail sold on ebay

Alright, I think my search has finally ended for finding a fog light kits for my 2012 Tacoma. This is the most I have paid for the kit but the promise is that this is the OEM kit that fits. The Sienna fog light was a bust because I need to find the correct switch for the dash that cost more money. When I receive this kit below, you will here about my results. Here is the link for the Ebay page:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/110949107461?item=110949107461&viewitem=&vxp=mtr

Fog Lights / Lamps Kit for Toyota Tacoma 2012

    Fits in factory Location
    Adjustment for light beam direction
The kit is a direct bolt OEM replacement Fit
Kit Includes Two Fog Lights with Bulbs, OEM like switch and wiring.

These Fog lamps will fit any Toyota Tacoma 2012. The kit is a direct bolt OEM replacement Fit. It includes adjustment for light beam direction and a replacement OEM LED switch that will fit in the FACTORY location it also includes a OEM plugs and Taps so no cutting is needed. This basically will fit, look and work just like the ones that come with the truck at a fraction of the cost.

    SATISFACTION GUARANTEE.

Yeah, I am super keen to know how this kit works out for you. The price isn't bad if it's more or less plug n play. I look at the switch which is described as 'OEM' and yet the corners of the switch look to be more angular than the stock switch. Click onto link. It's the only piece that I don't know about.

This is what I'll have to purchase to go along with the Sienna kit:
    http://www.toyotatrdparts.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idProduct=-59

This, assuming I cannot utilize the switch from the kit which I think might mount beside the 12V power plug-ins.

I bought the Dash Z kit...it was super easy to install...I did NOT have to remove the dash at all...just popped out switch cover...Dash Z switch looks pretty factory like...maybe not perfect but very close...my truck was not pre-wired and the kit had every thing I needed!! Plus lights can be on any time the power/key is on! I have since installed them on two other trucks and that went even faster!!!! They are not LED but you do have a choice of a couple size bulbs!!! I am very happy and all for $165.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

that switch will not fit the factory dash location. it is different from the OE fog light switch. it MIGHT fit (as stated above) in the "dealer retrofit" location next to the 12volt outlet.

the factory dash location is 'keyed' to only accept the correct part number switch, the switch has protrusions on the side, that slide into cut outs in the opening. meaning you cant put the fog switch into the inverter spot, or vice versa. i installed an additional fog switch for my rear lights next to the OE one, and had to file down a few spots so it would plug in.

    @ Faryota,
im curious how you got the blanks that were to the left of the drivers side, top row, to simply "pull out"? mine had locking tabs on them that both needed to be depressed at the same time, plus, the plastic support that blocks access to the top row below the left vent...

if your referring to the plugs located to the left of the 12 volt outlet, im curious to as well...

I talked to the dealer yesterday about the most resent set of 2012 Tacoma fog lights I ordered. It turns out that he has been the same dealer on eBay but with different company names. He fully understands our delimma with the lights and the switch. He has an 06 tundra and just installed the lights with the relay and then used a T-shank to connect to the low beam lights in the fuse compartment under the hood. He didn't even bother with an on and off switch inside the cabin. In a way, this makes scents, I don't usually turn my fogs on and off. I leave mine on when my lights are on. I don't really need a on/off switch. The install is much simpler and the fog light come on when you need them. Bottom line, my 1st set I ordered of 5 so far would have worked perfectly with an install without an on/off switch and wired direct to low beam engine compartment fuse box. Is it factory; on the outside yes, under the hood, it just depends on how well you work the wiring.

    1) Has anybody succeeded with the ebay light OEM setup?

    2) Does this same setup or another work for 2013 tacoma too?

Yes, the Fog Lights / Lamps Kit for Toyota Tacoma 2012 fog light set on Ebay does indeed fit the 2012 and 2013 toyota Tacoma. The set I bought on ebay was $169. Maxliner was the dealer. He raised his price $20. Profit is not a dirty word. But at least this set fits with no modifications. Even the switch fits into the dash knockout to the left of the steering wheel.
