HELP ON THE TACOMA SPORTY LOOK

I Just bought a 2012 Tacoma SR5 prerunner. im having the dealer put in leather. they are asking me what is it i want to embroider on the seats "TRD sports" or "TRD off track" I know is neither, but I trying to give it the sporty look without paying the dealers price, what does anyone recommend? Im also putting on it the side steps what size should i get? 3", 4" or 5" vent shades, in channel or outside mount? perhaps later on the bug shield. Where i really need help is on "hood scoop" (there's got to be a good reputable co. that sells them already painted to match paint color and of good quality) does any one recommend i put it on? oh yes and what should i put on the seats? they also have the decals for the back quarter panel. In a nut shell can someone give me suggestions on how to give my tacoma the sporty look, on my own? Thank you!

Trade it in for a TRD SPORT?

 

Don't get TRD embroidered on it if it's not a TRD - in my opinion. That'll look weird to the potential future buyer if you decide to sell it.

Definitely get in channel vent visors. The others can look cheap.

I wouldn't get anything embroidered... Maybe the TRD logo if you really feel the need. TRD = Toyota Racing Development, people put TRD accessories on non TRD models all the time but again, I'd go unembroidered.

As far as ventshades, I'd go in channel. The other ones just stick to the paint and I don't think they hang on as well.

 

Well thanks for your opinions, all well taken. how about what size of the side steps or running boards i should install? and the "hood scoop" would a good well paint matched one be ok? s.o.s thank you!

good luck finding someone to trade hoods with though...
you can buy a new hood with scoop, for around $475 + paint + installation.

if your going to do leather check out the TW Katzkins leather group buy and get a custom leather kit for your truck made EXACTLY how you want. they are some of the best quality in the industry. John has sold many kits.

the stick on vent shades may cause highway wind noise. ok for some, not for others...
