I've owned a glock, an XD, and a 1911. I liked all three. If you properly maintain your pistol you shouldn't have a lot of malfunctions. My biggest issue with any of my guns was if I used 185 grain rounds with my XD they wouldent feed right because the nose of the round was flat. That was my only issue with any of my pistols.

I'm pretty sure you can trick out those glock as much as a 1911...
    Google Race glock.

It also seems like you're trying to start a pointless war between glock/1911 and apple/android...

Not a fan of all Glocks.
Love the 9mm family, the original design.
    Also love 1911's.

I don't stick to one manufacturer or model. I feel many companies have one or two great models, and the rest are all crap.

I love my Glock (model 36, slim line .45). the only thing I don't like about mine is the lack of an accessory rail. Very subtle little gun, small enough to carry, big enough to punish!

I have owned a Glock 17 for twenty years. I have put a ton of rounds through it with not a single problem.

    Interesting.

I own both glocks and 1911's. Lead comes out of both, both are fun to shoot, both are customizable and both would make a great sidearm for anyone willing to take the time to become proficient with either.

I am defending Glock in this thread because I have owned and carried Glocks for likely longer than some of the users in here have been alive. If the tables were turned and the 1911 was being thrown under the bus, I would be defending the 1911.

I just don't dig on glocks that much. I used to want one but now... meh... Thats not to say i would never buy one. I'll most likely buy a g26 someday. it's almost like an obligation of the "gun enthusiast". I'm sure i can fine a place for it SOMEwhere. :D

Have you had your coffee this morning? Maybe you have had too much? I know it took me longer than normal to become fully functional this morning. Normally I would have refrained from posting in such a controversial thread (strangely i started this one).

Ill be honest my first comment was to stir the pot abit. You know, get the conversation going again. I guess it succeed eh'.

But you are blind, deaf and dumb if you haven't noticed how angry Glock fanboys get when someone disagrees with them. I know not all Glock owners are fanboys.

I thought the iPhone/Glock thing was quite fitting. IMO of course. Isnt it a well known fact that the 1911 is one of, if not the most customizable [spl?] pistol platforms out there? I wouldn't consider pointing that out to be 'poking'.

There are fanboys for every product. Glocks, 1911s, Xds, polymer or steel frames. Im a fan of metal framed pistols but im not going to blindly defend all of them because im a fan. Hell, im a HUGE fan of the 1911 but i understand it has its faults like all guns.

Since emotions aren't discernible through text I would like to point out that I am awake and coherent as ill ever be. I'm not upset that you are offended my opinion and apologize for offending you with mine.

    Good day.

Thread seemed to be doing fine, until Brent became dead set on stiring shit. That being said,
