Seems to have a very slight rear main leak. Bottom of bell housing is wet with oil where it meets motor. If I wipe it dry it becomes wet again after a day or so. Not dripping just wet, will maybe drip 1 drop a week. Is this unheard of? Something to be worried about. Some people are telling me to just keep
Driving it while others are telling me to get it fixed ASAP. I was hoping to wait until doing the clutch to worry about it. What do you guys think?

Pretty low miles for an 05 and may have sat for some time. Was the oil recently switched to synthetic? Any history known?

Plenty of 100k plus with no issues on here, but that's what this forum is for.....issues. Good luck with it.

Edit: About waiting for clutch work; not a bad call, but up for you to decide. As long as you don't mind checking a lot and carrying that extra qt around with you then drive on.

    Yeah.
One drop a week is not much, but that is kind of low miles for a rear main seal.

Stick with the same brand/weight/kind of oil for a bit and maybe it will seal back up. I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets much worse and would definitely do the clutch at the same time if busting into it. Don't forget to have your flywheel turned.

Youre 7k miles out of warranty, but I would call Toyota Corp. and tell them. This shouldnt be an issue for over 200k miles.

As Chris said, with only 7k out of warranty, a chat with your dealer may get you a goodwill repair. The worst that they can do is say no! Though I rarely see an engine get 200k without a rear or front seal starting to leak....just sayin.

Thanks for the replies I am unsure on the history of oil used as I bought it recently from a used dealer. I will just keep an eye on it for now. I will talk to a dealer about it but I doubt they will help me as I bought it used...
