OEM parts or Dayco?

I'm going to replace the serpentine belt on my 08 taco 4 banger this weeknd. I was looking at OEM parts and noticed a belt from them is around 75-100 bones, and the ones from dayco and duralast at autozone are 30-35.

Are they cheaper one just shit, or are they just as good as the OEM ones?

 

The general idea is that OEM is better quality than auto parts store.... I have never seen one to be better than the other.

 

Get the Dayco, in the unlikely event it breaks you're not that far in the hole. I only go OEM on the few parts that I can't find aftermarket or I just don't trust which aren't many. (Even OEM parts on brand new vehicles fail so it's a crapshoot sometimes)

 

I also notice the dayco has a 3 year warranty. Can't really beat that for a 30 dollar part.

 

I say go for it, if it fails, the warranty should cover it and it's only 30ish dollars right?

Gates makes an outstanding product. Been using their products for over 30 years. Of course you can't go wrongs with OEM.
