My 07 Taco with 90K with the original factory battery on it is starting to crank real slow and hard to turn over and start. Sometimes it starts normal andother times it is cranking slow. I had one instance where when trying to start it all the electrical was flashing. then on the second attempt it cranked slowand started when I made sure all electrical drains were off. This has all started with in the last 24 hours.

I am leaning towards the battery but the flashing electrical stumped me. Inthe morning I am going to clean the terminals (noticed some corrosion) along with a alternator check by removing the neg battery terminal cable remove.

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks!

I'd take the battery to an auto parts store or sears and have them load test it. Sounds like your battery is dying.

The average car battery life varies with climate and abuse. In hot climates it is typically lower than the five year average for the US. Heat kills batteries and cold reduces their performance. With winter approaching, if it were my battery I would replace it to avoid being stranded.
