I bought my 05 Taco back in March from a friend. paid $17k for it sitting @ 85k miles which was pretty good for my area. I felt I got a good deal for the truck i wanted. Its the double cab 4x4 with the long bed, tinted windows & window visors. Its in relatively good shape as far as the body goes. There are a couple of dings here and there but nothing I cant live with. The bed shows wear as it should- its a truck. Ive been averageing right at 19mpg which isnt too bad but im coming from a car that got 30mpg so its a little hard to swallow. It was well taken care of by the previous owner. I havent done any mods to it, the wife would kill me. Anyway, Im enjoying the heck out of it so far and this forum has been a great help!

85 k is just getting broken in on that truck. I would search some of the threads on here about changing rear end fluid, and spark plugs etc.

Good Deal on truck, good luck with it.

I thought it was a pretty good deal given everything I was seeing that was the same model with more mileage was going fo $23k+ at dealerships. Like I said it has a few minor blemishes but they dont really bother me because then I dont have to worry about when that first scratch happens. :) The guy offered to sell it to me for 15k originally but I didnt have the funds at the time. A couple of days before I contacted him to see if it was still for sale, he had posted listings for it for 17k and had a dealership involved for an under-the-table cut of the profits. I bit and offered the 17k. Kind of dumb but I had wanted this particular truck for years.

I bought my 07 last week from a guy in Winder. I think I'm going to really enjoy it. My brother is wanting me to come to Athens for the game this Sat night. Sounds like a good reason for a little seat time! Phil

It dont matter how they slice it, truck is still worth it. In the end you got a great truck for a price that fits your budget.
