Is there a thread for "must-have" modifications for new owners? I've looked around the forum for a couple weeks now and haven't seen anything, and haven't been able to find anything with the search feature.

I'm thinking along the lines of "if you get a 2005 double cab, you really really really should change this...." rather than "if you've decided you want to do this to your 2005 double cab ... here's how to do it."

    Thanks!

Oh by the way... I'm from Kansas and got my truck August 20... super stoked.

OP, I haven't found a section like that, but there is the cheap mod section...I don't think there's a must do on these trucks since they're Mint the way they are.

I would look at that section and check out the mods and pick and choose the ones that appeal to you

    BTW...welcome to TW..happy modding

A lot of the mods here depends on what you want or do with your truck, like I do a little off road exploring on dusty roads, I've already cleaned my reusable cabin air filter 6 times...it's saved me about $100 already ($20 walmart replacements)

OP, btw, your truck looks sweet...still stock but looks good...I love black vehicles, but I will never again own one...I hate the exterior detailing process to keep it looking mint! I just don't have time to do the up keep, but hey, to each their own...your truck looks good!
