I am going to buy some fog lights for my 2009 Tacoma sr5. I read on here that a lot of people buy their fog lights off of ebay to save money. I found these lights http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-2011-T...iter_Display:2.7L&hash=item4603955445&vxp=mtr and i would like to buy them but i don't know how to wire them. I was hopeing somebody could direct me to a thread explaining how to wire these (if there is a thread out thread out there for that) Also i would like to hear your opinion on these lights and if you have any suggestions on other lights.

    Thanks

Have you checked to see if you already have the wiring installed?

SR5 4x4 should be wired if you have an Access Cab or Double Cab.

Open the underhood fuse/relay box, check the sticker on the lid to locate the "fog relay" spot, and look down inside the slots... if you see silver/gold contacts, you are probably pre-wired.
Then look under the bumper... the connectors for the lamps should be taped up to the harness under the headlights.

If you've got that, all you need is the housings, factory relay, switch, and fuse.

I'm not a big fan of that kit... and the same kit can be had for $70 from other vendors.

    Reason?

The switch is junk. I was never able to get the harness to plug into it... the pins wouldn't line up.

The switch will not fit the factory location to the left of the steering wheel. It's too small. The switch will apparently fit the openings in the lower center dash panel under the AC controls, but I haven't seen anyone verify this yet.

The harness is too short. The harness from the lights to the battery tray is fine. The rest of the harness is not long enough to get from the battery tray to the dash.
It might work on a Rav4 or Corolla, but not the Tacoma.

I bought a full FJ Cruiser switch and harness:
    http://www.toyotatrdparts.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-59
This will be wired into a relay harness that I'll make up, same as if I were installing any other aftermarket fogs.
I've had these parts for 6 months... just haven't had the time and weather cool enough to do it.

those are your airbag sensors and it doesn't look like you have terminals for a relay

You will just have to do all the wiring yourself, which is straight forward
