:confused:Engine light came on in my 2001 6-cyl and I had it checked at the dealer who said it would cost $2600 to replace both converters. I "heard" that one could buy less costly converters at Meineke. The light stayed on. Drove the car a couple hundred miles and the engine light went out. Since inspection was soon due, I hurried to get that done while the light was out and it passed. Was it simply that I hadn't DRIVEN my baby on the highway for a while, or should I soon(?) save some money for a deluge of problems at a later date?
