Idler Pully Bearing went bad

    Took the truck in yesterday and mech said its the bearing. Sounded like a power steering pump that was out of fluid. 65,000 miles so no warrenty. Oh well.


    At least the noise will be gone, doing a tranny flush too.

    lame post I know but just FYI

    Did you go through deep water recently? Mine went bad early on but only because I was wheeling through pretty deep muddy water.

    No Im out in the oil field and weve been getting alot of rain. Its been getting louder the last few days. It was pretty muddy when i took it in though. Wonder if I should be washing it at the carwash from now on.

    shoulda changed it yourself and saved the money, takes bout 30 mins. but yeah mine exploded drivin down the highway after some deep mud. it locked down and burnt the belt in half.

    That's what I was afraid of. I drive an hour to work out in the middle of nowhere and I'm out there all day. My company owns the truck so I write it off anyway.
