2012 Exterior Door Handle Recess

Does anyone know of a source for a black vinyl or plastic insert to cover the recess behind the exterior door handles on the 2nd gens? I have a 2012 double cab and am already getting marks on the paint behind the door handles.

Is there a factory accessory? Aftermarket options?

This chaps my ass. I fuss at my wife all the time concerning this. I've got enough sense to use the back of the door handle keeping my fingernails off the paint, but no one else seems to be able to. My door looks as good new, the other three all have marks, of course front passengers is the worst.

 

That is what I am talking about! Figured if I could find something to shield the paint then, problem solved.

I just fussed at my wife last week about this. Why do you have to smash your hand into the door to grab the handle? What am I saying, she can't park straight either, depth perception is obviously not a core capability.

OP, just cut some clear 3M tape to fit if smacking doesn't work.

 

my 2012 came with the clear guard on all 4 door handles...the door edges...and the tailgate handle
