Toyota of El Cajon fixes my melted DTRL's!!!

Like many other owners here, I had an issue with the DTRL's melting the lenses. I had taken my truck to the dealer in El Cajon CA and received less than an acceptable response from Toyota Corporate. To make a long story short....after being contacted for a meeting with their Customer Service Adviser and having that meeting, I was called and told to make an appointment to have both headlight assemblies replaced at no cost to me.

Dropped the truck off at 8:15 this morning (20-Sept-2012) and by 10:20 the truck was ready. I am very happy with these results but also disappointed that it took some much work to get these results. I hope that everyone that is experiencing this issue with their lights finds a satisfactory conclusion.

What year do you have, my 2012 does not have them I was told at the time I ordered they were not available. Now I read that the 2013 my will come standard, did Toyota sort out the problem???? If so I would like to retrofit.

 

OP has an '09 Prerunner. My '12 has DTRL so I guess I will wait and see 3yrs down the road if this happens.

 

My 12' has DTRL also, never seen one with out.
