After picking up my new 2013 Sport yesterday, I just finished putting in Muth mirrors, and as I was doing the right side door I noticed a few drops of water inside of the door, like in between the metal door walls, below the window. It rained here last night, plus my truck was washed at the dealer when I picked it up yesterday, maybe they left the window down a bit when they were washing, I don't know, but the cab was dry. The rain stopped maybe 10 hours ago, and things were well dried out before I started on the right side of the truck.

Anyway, I started feeling down at the bottom of the door and there was maybe one inch of water down there, towards the front.

I seem to remember reading about an issue here a long time ago, but it doesn't come up in the search. Anyone else ever experience this or hear about this happening?

Water drops on the panels would be normal. The outer window is not sealed. That's why there is a clear plastic cover over the openings on the inside of the door.

An inch pooled in the bottom is not normal. It should be draining out of the bottom of the door. Get it back to the dealer, or check yourself and make sure the drains are open.

Cool, thanks. I never knew those drains were there. I found 3 drains, but I was able to freely poke a stick up into them. Weird. I guess I'll have to listen for water sloshing around, because obviously I'm not going to see it in the normal use.
