    ...v6 Prerunners?

I figure the difference will come from the tires/wheels, but what is the difference for those with experience? Is it just 1-2 mpg?

    Thanks!

Negligible. If you put larger tires on than the stock size, that's when you lose MPG.

The "TRD" tires are 20 mm wider than the non-TRD. The difference in fuel consumption will be extremely small, and you can get it ALL back by switching to 245 wide tires.

Got it. So, the story here is that my friend is in love with my truck and always has to drive when we go places. I've told her to get her own damn truck, so she's finally starting to look and can't decide whether she should get the TRD package or the regular SR5. The only reason she wouldn't want theTRD is if it were to get worse mileage for whatever reason, but I guess that's really a non issue.

My SR5 had the 245 tires stock and I drove those for about 10K miles, I then upgraded the tires to 265's and I did not see any noticable mpg difference.

Non-issue... The tires that come on the TRD models are wider but have a pretty timid tread so they don't really eat into the MPG. And stop letting her drive yours otherwise she's got no incentive to get her own :D
