Anybody have geckos?

I've been looking to buy a snow leopard gecko for my girlfriend as a surprise gift because she's been wanting one for a while. I never realized how cool lizards/geckos could be as pets after reading about them. Plus the design and color of them are amazing! I guess this can be one of those show us your pet threads. But lets keep it gecko.

 

i would suggest a crested gecko
live at human temps, and easy to take care of, some breeds are spectacular, whatever you do buy from a reputable dealer and not a pet store for the gecko, you can get supplies there but thats it

 

my brother use to, than gave it to me. but it died. lol

 

She definitely wants a snow leopard gecko. Her favorite animal is a snow leopard so yeah. Haha. And I know to buy an animal like that from a breeder and get supplies from wherever. I'm new to this though and idk where to start. Is there a place that sells them cheap and has pictures of the exact gecko you will get?

 

And why do you say not from a pet store with these? Because they usually aren't as healthy or what?

watched that motherfucker hunt moths and crickets. Alfred was a badass until I accidentally killed him in the door

yes

thousands of them everywhere. sometimes they get in the house...my wife is none too happy about this. she's OK with the little green ones, but the larger devil head (have the big red head)...worse than a mouse.

 

I meant as pets, but I know what you all mean. Lol

 

If you can catch a black and white one, it sounds like you might be able to make some $$

 

Lmao. There isn't any geckos in the wild here ): And I have been searching and it seems that the shipping on some places is as much as the gecko itself.
