trac,lsd?

ok i have a 2012 SR5 4x4 v-6 auto.
i had a 2011 base 4x4 I-4 manual.
there seems to be a difference in auto lsd, track, or something different with dash lights.

does anyone know the difference if any between the two, or is it just my imagination?

If there isn't a change for 2012, then TRAC in 2WD and TRAC in 4WD-HI are different (2WD has engine regulation, and 4WD-HI has no regulation).

AUTO LSD is a 2WD ONLY feature to give you TRAC without engine regulation (like it is in 4WD-HI).

The confusion comes in in using the name TRAC for two different types of limited slip, depending if you are in H2 or H4.

AUTO LSD and TRAC in H4 are the same type of limited slip, but TRAC in H2 has engine regulation.
