    Weathertech digitals front and rear, TRD exhaust, Coverking dash mat, Oem Tacoma bedmat, Better Built tool box, bed extender, Toytec 1 1/2" AAL, Bilsteins front and rears, fronts set at .85, K&N filter, aluminum skid plate, EGR vent shades, locking tailgate handle, TRD emblems, Cal Trend seat covers front and back.
    I need some help before I buy a oil filter wrench, does anyone know what size in mm I need to buy the end cap oil filter wrench for a 2012 4.0 V6? I would really appreciate the information, thanks in advance. PS: a good quality wrench.

    Personally, those are all GARBAGE filter wrenches. Every time I have used them, they just slip and slip and slip. My personal preference is these ones:

    And I've also used the cloth strap ones with good success.

    How about using your man strength. I don't see why you would need one on the 4.0. If installed to the correct tightness you should never need one.

    you might need both if your truck is brand new. you might need the wrench in post 2 to undo the factory oil filter that was tightened by a gorilla. the wrench in post 7 will then be used on the dealer filters, thereafter.

    i discovered this after i drained all my oil out... i couldnt remove the factory filter until i got the wrench in post 2...

    I thought I was the only guy to drain his oil before trying to get the filter off. Had to take the bike to the auto parts store for a strap

    i actually had the nerve to say to myself "watch how fast this will be", and started a timer lol! 3 effing hours later and driving around in my gf's car

    A trick to remove tight oil filters when you don't have an oil filter wrench available: Using a large slotted screwdriver, stab the old filter completely through from one side to the other on the end furthest from the engine. Then, use the protruding ends of the screwdriver as handles and spin the filter off.

    2004 ext cab 4x4 TRD, bone stock for now
    I just bought the one Larry suggested....the dealer had screwed my filter on incredibly tight, and my trusty strap wrench was too big. Took my longest breaker bar to loosen. I ended up tapping it on the filter for the best grip. Should never ever need it again
