    2007 Tacoma
Hi all, I own a 2007 Tacoma 4 cylinder engine with manual transmission. I am an ex auto mechanic and do much of the maintenance of the truck myself. I still can do brakes and engine stuff though, at 64, I don't enjoy squatting beside the truck doing brakes, even though it saves a lot of money when I do.

I read the threads on "creaking Tacoma" and tried the "fix" myself this weekend. I tried inserting the strip cut from an old inner tube to the front of both sides of the leaf springs but to no avail, it still creaked like a clipper ship in a strong wind. So I tried fitting the rubber between the leaves of the rear of the springs and like magic, the creaking went away.

Thanks to the person who posted his fix.
