No offense, but HiFonics is pretty low when your comparing Alpine PDX and JL Slash series amps. You can't power JL subs with an amp like that. Its just not a good match.

The other comment that said Focal.... now THAT is an amazing product! Gives Alpine and JL a run for their money. But the price! I have Focal Polyglass series components up front and Polyglass coaxial in the rear... they are the most amazing sounding speakers I have ever heard hands down.

They actually specialize in home audio and then made mobile audio as well. They have a set of components that retail for $6000... yes that is "6 thousand!" For a single pair of speakers  If you have ever seen the movie "Italian Job"... those speakers WILL blow a women's clothes off lol

The only other speakers I have heard that actually compared to my Focals was alpine Type R 6.5 components running off an alpine v-power amp and alpine single din deck. It was a single cab Tacoma with no sub or anything. I installed them in my ex's truck thinking it would be a basic system and for only one set of speakers they really impressed me. I eventually threw in a JL 10w1 in the back which helped ALOT but the speakers handled themselves quite well. Crystal clear with good clean bass. Hard to produce out of a single speaker.

Ohh I forgot to mentioned a hidden gem most people dont know about... TMA (Total Mobile Audio). Their amps are made by JL Audio but re-cased in a different brand shell. Similar to RCD buying Bilstein shocks and putting their label on and selling cheaper. Same idea. If you want a great hi quality amp for cheap, TMA is a fraction of the cost and uses the exact same internals as JL. Little secret for you guys ;)
