Oopsie, My boo boo

So I figured I would contribute my story of failure. I was trying to climb up this one rough part of a trail, but I couldn't make it past a certain part even in 1st gear, 4WL. SO I tried again from another angle but I had like a foot between a tree and my tailgate.

I almost made it through then stalled and rolled into the tree leaving i nice, but subtle dent in my tailgate.

Two good thing came from this! First, I since i was resting against and able to take off from a tree now I made it out on my first try after the incident. Second, It knocked off my just barely crooked emblem

Now Its time for me to see if my tailgate is strong enough to load a dirtbike i guess

Oh and my buddy took a pic of it but forgot to save it. I will post one tonight

 

Something that I use as a tool when I wheel, is my e-brake. It'll help when you need that third foot. Your four banger might not have enough torque to use it adequately though, so be careful how much you pull.

 

Ya it was just a traction issue in the end, however I was defeated

 

My buddy rigged an adjustable hand-throttle to his stickshift; he would pull/set it at like 3,000rpm, then all he would have to do is work the clutch and brake in nasty trail sections. E-brake is handy too.
