    I was changing my transfer case fluid and my trans fluid earlier. everybody posted 75w90 is what you use. i drained the old out and it was no where near 75w90!!! Called Toyota dealership and they said it was toyota's brand of trans fluid in them! just curious if this is on all models or just the 6 speed manual trans. because i read a post earlier on TW saying they took 75w90 gear oil. just wondering if thats in all models or just the 6 speed. :D

    it wasnt any weight they just told me straight transmission fluid but "their" brand. what i drained out looked like 10w30 motor oil. way thinner than 75w90

    The used oil you drain always looks thinner than what you put back in. It probably is, since the shearing forces break the oil down. That's why it needs replacing.
