Just wonderin if anyone knew where i could get the part around the shifter on a 6 spd. manual. mine is cracked

Use a CB, FRS, or get a Ham license.. Just because you dont need a license to buy it at your local boating store doesn't mean you can legally operate it.

 

didnt buy it at no boating store. bought it at a hunting place. pretty sure its not illegal here because ive been pulled over several times and no officer has said anything about it and plus everybody around here that hunts has one!

Look, most cops wouldn't know the difference between a CB and Marine radio and frankly wouldn't know who to refer it to if they did. Besides, it would be legal for you to have an use it if you held the proper license (I'm guessing you don't.)

I wouldn't take a lack of prosecution on their part as legal advice.

Other posters have linked up references. FRS/GMRS and CB are legal for you to use for hunting (maybe, sometimes not even then). Marine band isn't.

Do what you're gonna do, but don't do it in ignorance.

yea everyone i hunt with has used those radios we all switched over to ham just recently.

 

who cares? the guy was asking a question about the cracked piece, not the legality of his marine radio.
