    This hitch rack seems to be the only one to get for hitch mount. I would have to check to see if it works okay with my rear suspension. As it goes through the frame it may not work, but I'll check.

    There is a simple trick to always getting the seat height just right: you just need something like a hose clamp for the neck to remember the spot. I would expect bike shops to carry plastic clamps for this purpose.

    But of course, now we're talking about significant disassembly.

    A piece of tape also works and is the lightest option for weight weenies, but a clamp would be perfect. Thanks for the great ideas.

    It is a pain in the butt to put a bike in the bed if you have a canopy. I sure wouldn't want to try to put it on top of the canopy. OP, get a hitch mount rack that holds the bike up by the wheels not the top tube since you have a FS.

    op look at the tule t2. both of the bike shuttle companies that i know about near me use them(downieville, ashland). i have one for road trips. if you have four bikes on there you might have to loosen one to open the window on the shell(cap). just make a mark on your seatpost with a razor blade 1/8" below your top tube at your ideal ride height. that way when you move your seat as soon as the mark cant be seen you know its right. i put my seat down for the dh. wont ware like tape

    my friend had that tire step..for his ford explorer. he forgot it and destroyed it driving off. at least that is what he told me.

    I drilled rain gutter feet into the top of my Snugtop and mounted Thule bars and racks on the shell. I'm 6'2" and maxed out mounting the bikes on the roof. The good news is it leaves the bed for everything else. And no messing around with a reciever mount when getting in the back. I have the short bed so it fills up quick.

    My truck is lifted 3" and sitting on 33's and there is no way i'm lifting my bike up and setting it on the cap. (and i'm 6'2") I'd like to see someone try it without banging into or scratching their rig up.

    If i'm by myself, i just throw the bike into the box but with two bikes it becomes a bit of clusterfuck. Sure you don't want to get a hitch mounted bike carrier? This is what i plan on doing...
