The hood scoop doesn't do anything anyway, so what difference does it make if you want to enhance the truck the way you like. I really like the larger hood scoop, have it on my 2012 and it looks great (IMO). Had it all through the winter and this summer and drove cross country many times (7500 miles on it so far). I love it and so far haven't had a problem, to each their own.

I guess I like mods that serve a function. If the scoop came with the truck, great. If it didn't, I could think of better places to spend my money than stick on scoops, fender air vents, chrome windshield wipers, and the like. Like you said, to each his own. I thought the thread title said "Need opinions".

    It's a badass truck...not a Mexican food!
Rims, removed pinstripe, chrome door handles, nerf bars.
Well after reading this thread, it seems most people are not in favor of an after market scoop, but again, to each his own. And I think it can look right if not over done because it is expensive to buy a new hood with the scoop built in. This link is not to my truck, but one on cardomain I found. This is one of the few that I think looks really good and he says it was made for an '07 Mustang. It think he did a great job on his truck until he put Lexus badges on it and the chrome bugsheild. Those are a bit much for me.
