I just bought a 2010 extended cab taco. It has power door locks but didn't come with a remote entry fob. Can I buy a fob from Ebay and program it myself or does it have to be programed with a programer or dealer? Any suggestions for remote sources?

If its stock it has to be programmed at a dealer or locks smith.

I don't know how Toyotas are but I needed an extra remote for my Tahoe, went to the dealer and bought a new one. They wanted to charge me like $50 or so to program it. I looked it up on the internet and programmed it myself.

Bought mine on EBay for $20 or something and then programmed it at home. Takes a bit of a strange hokey-pokey dance but worked great. Helps to have a friend reading the instructions of what you're supposed to do!
