fyi because the after market face plate has to be snug, the reverse tilt don't work to well. It gets a little stuck.

Yes, they include the Scosche kit and wiring harness, all you need.

Yes, you can tilt the screen up and down. I have mine angled perfectly, love it! :D

    Well guys,

    I took the plunge.

In an effort to get the most bang for my buck, I ended up getting the accessories via Amazon.

Since a new model came out, the DDX712 dropped in price.

At this time (5/4/09, 10:30AM), Crutchfield has this unit for $599.99.
As is standard with Crutchfield, the install kit and wiring comes with the unit.

Crutchfield didn't have some of the accessories in stock, such as the XM package or Ipod cable, so I went to Amazon and got the items for much cheaper:

Audiovox CNP2000 XM Mini Tuner Cartridge
    Kenwood KCA-XM100V XM Interface Adapter
Kenwood KNA G510 - Navigation system
Kenwood KCA-iP300V iPod Video Direct Cable
    Kenwood CCD-2000 Rear-View Camera

Total via Amazon: 586.64 for all of the above.

All total, including shipping, I spent $1186.63 for everything.....not too bad.

Had I gone through Crutchfield for the accessories (of which some were not in stock), I would have paid $1559.94.

By getting the accessories via Amazon, I saved $373.31.

Not knocking Crutchfield, but I think they overcharge for quite a few items. In this case, they had the best price on the net for the DDX712.

One more question for you guys who have the rear-view camera.

where did you all mount the rear-view camera for the best viewing angle? Got any pics?
