    Just talked to a guy who got his spare tire stolen off his 07 tacoma any one els haveing issues in their area of stolen spares?

    i have heard this happening on a lot of new cars they take the spare pull the tire of and usually ditch the rim collect 4 and you have a full set. Also if your spare is under the car it is hard to notice it is gone.

    Don't most new cars have the spare in the trunk now? And if they have a spare it's a smaller useless wheel for anything but getting you to a service station. And some only come with a can of tire fix. Other than grabbing one from a truck, I don't think this as bad as you have been lead to believe. I think you're listening to people how just like to "talk".

    well on tacomas and suvs and so on most of the tires are still in the rear under the truck/SUV. Most are locked in now and harder to get out. Under my Tacoma i have a full size wheel and tire and most people i know have the same. It isnt extremely common to happen nothing like tail gates on the second gens getting stolen...

    Truck.. the word you're looking for is truck. Cars are an entirely different beast. And I guess it depends on where you live. Tailgate and spare tire theft from trucks is not that common here, almost unheard of as a matter of fact.

    well I guess it is a issue in LA a bunch of tacomas are geting their spares stolen i just sold a guy my rims cause they took his spare
