I had a safari bar added to my 01 tacoma and now im shopping.for some off road lights. Ive considered HID lights but its not looking like im going to have space between the bar and bumper. So now im kicking around the idea of slimlights either hella or kc. They are under 3" in depth so I should be fine on the clearance. does anyone have a prefrence on the two brands. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
a good LED bar with spot should project just as far as most your other off road lights. i’m pretty sure the rigid go out to like 150 or 200+ feet.

Actually a 20" Rigid Industries LED bar reaches out to 885 meters with a wopping 7900 Lumens. Price is pretty steep though. But I have a 10" LED bar in the amber and Love it for heavy fog and Dust from offraoding.
    Here is there website.

i was kinda "low balling" the distance, because i did not remember the actual distance.
yeah, i was going to get the amber covers for it for bad fog/snow/dust. and i am going to get the dually D2’s in amber to replace the stock fogs when i get a plate bumper.

They are great light and have great service. I had the D2's on the front of my bumper but they were not bright enough for me so I went with one 10" E series bar in amber. Way brighter and better coverage for fog. The 10" was just a little more at the time than the D2's. I have pics in my gallery of both setups with D2's and the E series 10" bar.

yeah they are a bit pricy, but worth it in my mind. i did find out the other night, that i need more lights, some spot/flood and some at an angle on the front was going around turns and everything and could not see them well. also would be nice to have some side lighting, so i could look down a side trail or something. was my first time trail riding in the dark with the truck.
