Gen II Lift Kit Vibes - Did you have the problem?

So I'm just about to pull the trigger on a simple lift kit - probably OME's, with a single AAL or maybe the 3-Pack Progressive AAL....

Then I read bout all these drive-line vibration problems. Craaaap...

If I lift am I pretty much guaranteed to have these problems? Or does it only happen to a few lucky ones?

 

i have the take off vibration from the carrier bearing, but its so minor that it is not even an issue for me. the benifits from lifting far out weigh the slight vibration at take off.

do the lift... you will be glad that you did.

 

Completely hit or miss with these trucks. For example, there are members on here who say you *need* aftermarket UCA's for any lift to work. With my old set up I didn't need uppers and I didn't have any vibrations. Take your time and do the install correctly and that will greatly decrease your chances of something acting up.

 

I have 885s and single aal. Upon lifting, after alignment, with old tires, I had slight take off shudder and vibes at 22-28, and at 55-60. Got new tires, 55-60 went away, but 22-28 got worse. Flipped my carrier brg 180°. Both vibes are gone, and take off shudder lessened. I know all these trucks are different, but this worked for me. Now I love my lift, except the squeaky leafs. I have a fix for that, just haven't had time to do it.

 

i had vibes from 30-40mph but i think that was the tires all at different psi.
im running OME 886x full dakars and CB Spacer.

no vibes any more though.
