Forced Induction used to require higher octane fuel, but I'm not sure about now. If you hear any sign of predetonation, then you likely need to be using a higher octane.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Use Premium. When it starts boosting you need the octane to prevent pinging and damaging the engine.

The Sales Creep will say anything to make the sale.

Thanks. I thought 91 would be the better choice.
What preventive maintenance is required with the supercharger?

I made the same mistake. When they installed mine they chaged the sitcker on the fuel opening but the sales rep said to use standard.......After many trips and working with them to find out why I was getting piston slap.

You have to use premium fuel 100% Don't listen to they salesmen they don't know & don't care. They just want to make a buck.

    Things and stuff and such
The dealer should edumacate them selves. On TRD's website it says the engine map allows timing retard for 87 octane, but performance will suffer. You want to run 91, and there should be a decal in the fuel door that says this if the supercharger was installed by a dealer.
