How many miles do shocks and struts usually last in routine service?
My Taco has 44K and seems a little bouncy.

I've always felt like somewhere around 50-60k mine start to seem a bit loose...

I'm going to guess 40-50k? I wonder has anyone ever gotten them replaced under warranty?

The only way you are going to get shocks replaced under warranty is with an obvious defect, such as a leak, broken eye or rod, or a failed bushing, etc. Or under a TSB such as the harsh ride TSB, where the tokicos were upgraded to bilstiens.

hehe, i replace them when they are obviously blown and leaking, err, hang on leme go see mine. ok nevermind apparently i dont.

but anyways, that is a fail-safe way to make sure your shocks are bad so you dont waste dollars. if your concerned about your ride just buy new ones anyway, some good bilstiens will firm you right up and you'll be one happy camper. even if yours are still perfect, it will produce a much more "controlled" ride. carefull though, cause some company's use the word "controlled" when they mean bone-jarring
