Hey Chad, did you get the 3" Pro Deluxe 1000, or the 3" Deluxe 1000? It looks like the only difference is the type of leaf that is provided.

I got the 3" Deluxe 1000 kit for 249.99. The only thing that factored into this decision was the price. It was $30 less. The ride is only slightly stiffer than stock.

So a friend of mine, who is a Jeep guy, told me that a Jeep AAL will often sag. He asked if that is true of Toyotas. Has anyone experienced that?

Chad, have you seen any of that on your Toytec?

    Thanks

No, I havn't seen any sagging, but I've only had the lift in since just after Thanksgiving. Toytec offers 2 different AALs as well. The longer AAL is supposed to have a softer ride and is made by Toytec. The short AAL is made by ProComp and creates a firmer ride.

A buddy that helped me install the lift told me the shorter AAL was the better choice and would be less likely to sag, he is no professional, but has more experience with lifting vehicles than I do.

Also, I don't pull trailers or have considerable weight in the bed very often.

jeeps have alot of weight centered on them making all the leaf springs sag after awhile taco's are light in the rear so not really a problem with sagging unless you haul alot or tow alot...but the factory springs would sag anyhow with that activity

I was thinking of buying the FABTECH,
FT S 4130-7, 3" lift kit it comes w/replacement front spindles, 4 shocks, 2 brakelines and extra leafs 4 the back. What is this considered a body, or suspension kit?

    flaadog,

just my 2 cents here, but i would say do the lift, then buy tires..... you might wanna stick with ur size now, or you might look at your truck and say what i did, "Damn that wheel well looks huge!!!"

either way, it's gonna look good.... i've said it before and i'll say it again, greenbean's truck is awesome!!!!

If your truck is the same as in your pic, I have the same one. Mine's an
'01 DoubleCab TRD Tacoma 4x4. I've got the 3" ToyTec coil spacer lift with the rear AAL and differential drop kit. I've had it on for 4 years and have no sagging with it. With this lift you can clear 285/75-16s. I had a minor frame rub on my factory rims with my BFG ATs, but after some new wider rims I have no problems.
