my first magic smoke show, need an audio junkie

    well, then, if anyones reading this, i thought my dls tweeters were trashed because i was hearing this clicking sound seemigly only from the pass. side. so i changed them out with the hertz tweeters, huh same thing. only happens at higher volumes.

    i googled it, and one reason came up that it could be a bad ground on the amp, but why would it only happen on one side?

    my ground is a seat bolt but i think the carpet around the bracket for the seat is preventing it from getting really tight, so im off to the store to get some washers.

    Your ground needs to go to bare metal and needs to be secure. Seat belts are ok to use, just sand the paint away.

    Bad grounds can cause tons of issues. Distortion, popping, shutting off the deck, whine noises, etc, etc.
