On Sept 11, 2011 I sold my '09 BMW 328i and purchased a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. This truck is everything I've ever wanted. I didn't get all of the packages that came with it and there are features I would have liked that my BMW had (door unlock from satellite, blue-tooth for cell, iPod connector (not talking about AUX). There is a few more features but they don't really matter since I forgot about them. Yes I also know I could have purchased a package for blue-tooth and to purchase an adapter for the iPhone.

Attached is the image of my truck and this is what it has that I'm aware of. 2011 Toyota Tacoma 2WD V6 Prerunner TRD Off-Road. Has the Off-Road package, Tow-Package & Tinted Windows. I'm sure there is more but I'm still learning about all the stuff. No navigation screen, bluetooth, etc.

I've driven trucks many of times in the military and I've damaged my fair share of HUMVEE's while driving at night with night vision and during the day with night vision for fun and I've also pulled other vehicles out of mud, off cliff's etc. I mention all of this because I have a 2WD truck with Rear Differential so I'd like to know if it can even pull a car or truck out of the mud if they are stuck.

Also anything I should get for this truck? So far I have the bed mat, all-weather rubber mats and door sill protectors. I'd like to get a cover for the truck bed (flat one all the way across) but no idea where to get that and what's best. Also need to buy a hitch & ball.

Let me know what you think and if you can tell me anything about my truck that I might not no since I've never owned a truck.

Welcome! Start by flipping through the new members section as you will gain base knowledge of the site and your truck through there. From there look at the other sections of the site (2nd Gen, Suspension, etc). Again, Welcome! You now have an addiction and don't even notice it!

The first thing i would get for that beautiful truck are some running boards or sliders. It might help fend off the first door ding. Welcome to TW
