I am new to this forum and was just curious if anyone had any ideas as to what to look for. I recently changed oil and filters and decided that I needed to change rotors, pads, and broken lug stud. Before I did this work i would hear a strange grinding / clunking noise from the front end and feel it in the floor boards at low speeds (10-20mph). After the work it went away and I thought I was good but it came back today after driving home from work 25 miles.

Any ideas what to look for?

Is the 4wd engaged when it shouldn't be?
If you have manual hubs, then the front axle should not be spinning while in 2wd.

4 wheel drive is not engaged and the manual hubs are in the Free Position. I was leaning toward the radiator fan but everything seems to be fine there. Would it be U-Joints or the Drive line?

So i narrowed it down to the hubs. If i lock the hubs in but do not engage the 4 wheel drive all the noise goes away. Is this a sign that I need to replace the hub?

Could you explain how that would be the drive shaft?

    Hacksaw,
This sub-forum is just for introductions.
You need to re-start this thread under "1st Gen Tacomas" or "Technical Chat".
You'll get more attention to your problem.

BTW, have you checked your transfer case oil level? Could be dry.
