If you take the plastic off the back of your rear seats you'll see the latches inside the seats have more holes further back. [IMG]

The Memphis Audio is the best choice on the list. It will out perform the w3 for less cash.

If you want to reuse your old box and save yourself trouble, you can go with a pair of Audiobahn Alum10n for around $200. They have a 5" mounting depth and are optimized for a sealed box from 0.5-1.2 cubic feet. They will give you the most bang for your buck and have great SQ.

How would those Memphis subs compare to the idq12v3s?

This is an awesome thread guys... thx for all the great info. I was totally leaning JL 10W3v3, now I am on the fence again with Image Dynamics.

I am against moving my seat latches since it will change the pitch of my backseat. My little girl rides back there ALOT and I take at least 2 13hr trips to Pagosa Springs CO each year with passengers.

I am in the process of making all my templates for my box and I may not even have to remove the plastic from the seats.

I found a thread that bashed the IDQ v3s composite baskets. Anyone else hear of issues with the IDQ v3s?

I only have 500W Total for the 2 10" subs.

I can still get IDQ10v2 from Woofers etc and they are $80($160 for the pair) less than the V3. Thoughts on the big difference from v2 to v3 IDQ?

The major difference between the 2 and 3 is a step up on every aspect of the speaker.

The real question is how loud do you want to listen to your music, and how much space do you want to take up with the box? The idqv2 will give you great SQ if you are trying to balance out the system with some clean bass, and the sealed box for them is optimized at .5 cubic feet max. If you want to annoy all of the old people in Pagosa Springs (my parents are some of them, cool little town though) go with the 3. It handles more power with the same SQ but needs more space in the box, .8 cubic feet.

:gossip: If all your running is 500W, go with the idq10v2, it will save you money and they are rated for 250W RMS.

Im running a Jl 13tw5 and like it alot,I do believe that you get what you pay for. I was concerned about this speaker when I first got it, but if you build a good box and supply it the proper power,it really puts out some good sound.:DGood Luck

Im running 2 IDQ 10" V3 with 500W @ 4 Ohms. Its not earth shatteringly loud but makes your hairs on your head vibrate and you feel bass drum kick in your ass. Its great SQ for a sub though. My .65 cubic foot enclosure per sub 1.3 total is just not enough to keep it flat below 40Hz. It rolls off slightly to 30 then dropps sharply to 20. I thinks its totally worth it if you can run a .75 enclosure size or larger. Its still better than a JL 13.5 compact sub IMO at .65 cubic feet for the IDQ and once you get to .55 and below the shallow mount JL makes more sense.

Probably a little late, but I was able to fit 2 JL 10w3's back there without removing the seat backs or moving them forward. You just have to get a little creative with the box design. I used fiberglass for the back. Sounds awesome running off the JL 900/5. If you want pics let me know and I'll upload them.
