Don't forget the TRD models come with the tow package. Not sure if you ever tow anything but it's not just a hitch receiver and wiring for lights. Tow package includes larger alternator, transmission cooler, and larger battery too.

I think it's an option for SR5 but standard on TRD's. Someone who's knows for sure will probably chime in.

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
only real thing you miss out on(and other have said it) is the seats, locker and the power inverter in the bed witch i have used a few times.

x2, i have only rode atvs off road. when we got the rhino it stays locked in the rear and has a front locker. i have kinda learned when a front locker helps and when it wakes things harder and you should just used speed. than agin it dose not have power steering so that may help on the truck if it had a front locker.

    Not much.
Get an off road. I got the sport because of the skewp and color matched bumpers like and idiot and now beating myself up because I don't have a locker. Should have gotten it all at once

yeah, skewp and color matched rear bumper(with you will most likely replaces with an off road bumper any ways) but the mirrors and door handles and grill can all be color matched later down the road.

I've gotta agree with Mathis. The seats alone would be worth it. I love the Trd seats. That alone would sell me on a Trd.

resale on any trd model is better than resale on any sr5 model as well, even if you put your own lockers in the TRD or SR5, its still worth more literally because of the stickers

BUT you can cut the yellow wire behind the glovebox on the SR5's, 09+, and have ATRAC basically

I thought that the point of a limited slip is that it limits the amount of slip between the rear wheels. if one is in the air shouldn't it still apply power to the other wheel?

    or am i missing something?

    thanks for the help.

You would think so wouldn't you? But so many people have told me no, that's not the case. I guess for the LSD clutches to work, there has to be SOME resistance on both wheels. As soon as one wheel completely loses traction it acts like an open diff. At least that's how i understand it and it's been explained to me.... seems stupid, i don't know why they can't figure a way around that. Well I guess A-trac does because it uses a computer controlled brake actuation, so when it senses one wheel is off the ground the computer tells the disc brake in that wheel to drag, tricking the LSD back into working. And again, i'm no a-trac expert.... but that's how i understand it to work.

LOL, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Im pretty new to off-roading, but my locker and a-trac sure made climbing easy this weekend. I was with several jeeps, all but one was locked. that one without lockers had to get winched up several places... my stock trd had no problems.

I think our longer wheel base helps on those climbs too. There are advantages to short wheel base (breakover angle, turning radius in tight trails) but hill climbing is not one of them.

well the breakover angle of the shorter wheelbase helps them crest the top of the hill, with less chance of getting hung up. But the longer wheelbase does help uphill stability and decrease the likelihood of flipping backwards. I think the jeep XJ (classic cherokee) has a an enviable wheelbase right in the sweet spot

Since it was stated that all the jeeps made it but the one without a locker, i'd chalk it up to that.
